Adventure Week

Welcome to Adventure

On this week-long excursion, students will explore all the adventures that North Carolina has to offer as they put down their devices and get out in nature.

Campers will whitewater raft the French Broad River, rappel down waterfalls, zip line across rivers, rock climb and hike to the peak of the Grandfather Mountain!

Experiencing adventure helps build self-confidence, reduces stress, and helps the children mental and physical wellbeing!

Day 1: Adrenaline

Our adventure begins with a two part day made for thrill seekers.

First, adventurers will take a half day white water rafting excursion on the French Broad River. They will traverse class III and IV rapid through the mountain side.

Later that day, adventurers will take a canopy tour while zip lining through the Blue Ridge Mountains and across the French Broad River.

Day 2 - Rappelling

Adventurers will learn about rappelling….with a twist….through waterfalls! Adventurers will rappel down the mountain side through waterfalls and rock walls, we’re going to get wet!

Day 3 - Grandfather Mountain

Adventurers will hike to the peak of Grandfather Mountain which stands at 5,946 feet above sea level. This excursion includes a 4.8 mile hike, over rivers, through caves and crossing the Mile High Swinging Bridge. Along the way we will look for Elk, Bald Eagles and River Otters.

Day 4 - UTV

Adventurers will explore the Blue Ridge Mountains first hand as they go off road in UTV’s, through the dirt and the mud as we explore the trails all over the mountain side. Hold on tight!
