LEGO Week (6/17 - 6/21)
Active Minds will welcome The Brick Brothers from Fox’s LEGO Masters. Campers will engage in a four day workshop, facilitated by the Brick Brothers.
Our older campers will engage in a Minecraft themed multi day workshop. The Brick Brothers will guide campers in building their own Minecraft world using legos, which will simulate the actual video game. Campers will interact with their LEGO world, including mining and harvesting trees to convert gems, which can be used within their LEGO world. Get your pickaxe ready!
Our younger campers will have a multi-day LEGO Masters themed challenge.The Brick Brothers will challenge our campers each day with a different theme. Campers will creatively work as a team to solve the LEGO challenge together. Get ready for some crazy challenges.

Mystery Week (6/17 - 6/21)
Campers will travel to the Cloisters Castle, traveling back in time to a 1920’s dinner party held by Izzy Einstein the Countess of Sussex. However, in this mystery noir, the party is brought to a halt when the Florentine Diamond, a royal family necklace passed down from the Duke of Tuscany, goes missing. The team of campers will have to search the estate for clues, interview guests, and solve a series of puzzles to return the diamond to its rightful place.
Later this week campers will welcome a visitor, as The Mad Scientist comes to camp. Campers will do a “Chem - Mystery” workshop. This includes a series of hands-on science experiments, each solving a different mystery, while experiencing the wonders of science. This is also a double swim week.

Animals Week (6/24- 6/28)
Campers will go to the Smithsonian’s National Zoo, where they will explore mammals from every continent on Earth, endangered species, and the new bird house. From seals to lions to gorillas to red pandas, campers will see exotic animals up close and personal while completing a special scavenger hunt.
Campers will also have an in camp visit from Dr. Michael Shwedick, also known as the Reptile Hunter. Campers will see up close and personal reptiles from around the world, getting to touch many of them, including a 200lb yellow python named Banana Boy.
Later this week campers will travel to the new Great Wolf Lodge! Campers will get to explore the new facilities water slides, lazy rivers, wave pool and massive water fort. Campers are going to have so much fun they won’t want to get out of the water!

Americana Week (7/1 - 7/5)
We celebrate the 248th anniversary of our nation, by visiting a new museum focus on its birth, the Museum of the American Revolution. Campers will have a special tour of the museum highlights, including an exploration of George Washington’s war tent. Campers will learn about America declaring their independence, the dark days of the war when the Union almost faltered, and the birth of a new nation.
Later this week campers will enjoy Disney Pixar’s Inside Out 2, where Joy and the other emotions welcome Anxiety to the team. Campers will enjoy the show with a snack pack!

Magic Week (7/8 - 7/12)

This magical week brings America’s Got Talent’s illusionist Mike Super to Active Minds for a private show at CCBC. Mike was a top 5 finalist on season 9, and was also featured on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. His style of magic is founded in mystifying illusions, like those of Harry Hudini and David Copperfield. Mike told us, the kids will never forget this show! A meet and greet with campers will take place after the snow as well.
Later on this week, campers will have a special small group workshop with magician Vince Wilson, who will work with kids to learn a set of magic tricks they can perform for friends and family. Camper’s will have special Water Slide Extravaganza this week!

Spies Week (7/15 - 7/19)
This week campers will explore the most interactive museums ever created, the International Spy Museum. From learning how intelligence agencies use technology, to crawling through an air duct, to practicing role playing a cover, campers will learn the skills needed to be an expert in deception and gathering information.
Later this week, we will welcome the Mad Scientist who will conduct a hands-on science workshop, Agent Undercover. Campers will explore how science can be a secret agents best friend. This is also a double swim week.

Teamwork Week (7/29 - 8/2)
Teamwork week is welcomed with a special trip to Oriole Park at Camden Yards to attend an Orioles Game. In typical Active Minds style, we will not be in the upper deck or outfield, but right at first base….. where the kids can actually see all the action! Campers will enjoy Dip N’ Dots…… Let’s Go O’s!
Also this week, campers will go to Timonium’s new Wonderfly Arena. This arena allows campers to play games as a team, including Bubble Ball, Hamster Ball, Arrow Tag, and more. Its not just a venue…its an experience! This is also a double swim week.

Art Week (8/5 - 8/9)

We welcome the most creative week of the summer, Art Week. Campers will have a specialized tour of Baltimore’s Walters Art Gallery. Campers will explore works from Rafael, Monet, and Rousseau….along with sculptures and works from ancient Egypt and Greece. Later this week we will have a specialized in camp art workshop to hone those artistic juices!
This week also marks the most popular experience of the summer, Hershey Park! Campers can ride roller coasters, small rides, get cool at the Boardwalk Water Park…there is something for everyone!

Samurai Week (8/12 - 8/16)
Campers will learn the way of the Samurai. Campers will welcome Yoshi…not Mario’s Yoshi…..Yoshi the Samurai! He will perform an ancient Samarui performance, while under siege from Ninja’s! Afterwards, he and his team, will lead campers on a Samurai sword workshop…..don’t worry they are foam!
Later this week, campers will travel to the Philadelphia Tea House, this is a 17th century Japanese home, where campers will learn about life in ancient Japan. Afterwards, they will participate in a Japanese art workshop. This is also a double swim week.

Culinary Arts Week (8/19 - 8/23)

Campers will get into the kitchen, as they work with Chef Amy Von Lange at Schola for a culinary workshop. Chef Amy trained at the French Culinary Institute in New York City and ALMA la Scuola Internazionale di Cucina Italiana in Parma. Campers will create a scratch meal, with Chef Amy guiding them step by step!
In camp, led by expert baker Shanelle Dyson, campers will test their baking skills in a Nailed It Experience. We can’t wait to see how they compare to the expert!
What better way to end Culinary Arts week, then having lunch at a Japanese Steakhouse! From flames, to onion volcanoes, to food tossing…..its the best way to experience a lunch!

Chesapeake Bay Week (8/26 - 8/30)
We celebrate the pride of Maryland, the Chesapeake Bay. Campers will travel to the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center where they will do hands-on experiments. From catching aquatic life, to identifying organisms, to learning about endangered species, visit their birds of pray rehabilitation and release program, campers will learn about the Bay first hand.
Later this week we will end summer with a fun Rock-N-Bowl glow event, while duckpin bowling at Parkville Lanes.
